This lamp stands out for its lightweight aluminium build, weighing 785 grams as opposed to 1420 grams for its brass and steel counterparts. Designed for surveying and official tasks, it’s both sturdy and easy to handle.
Key features include side lighting (SL), twin copper gauzes, a lead rivet lock, and a “Cell wind” wick adjustment mechanism. The filler’s locking flap is cleverly positioned a quarter inch above the cage ring, enabling simple wick tuning by winding the cell up or down.
